Cancellation & Reservation Transfer Policy
Magnolia Literary Society
The Gilded Chapter | Savannah, Georgia | January 29–31, 2027
At Magnolia Literary Society, every retreat is thoughtfully planned, with accommodations, dining, activities, and special details arranged well in advance. We understand that plans can change, and we appreciate your understanding of the following policies.
Cancellations & Refunds
All retreat payments, including deposits and installment payments, are non-refundable.
If a guest is unable to attend for any reason, no refunds, partial refunds, or credits toward future retreats will be issued.
Reservation Transfers
Guests who are unable to attend may request to transfer their reservation to another eligible individual.
Transfer requests must be submitted in writing at least 21 days before the retreat, no later than January 8, 2027.
All transfers require written approval from Magnolia Literary Society.
The replacement guest must meet all retreat eligibility requirements, complete the guest questionnaire, and agree to the Code of Conduct, Liability Waiver, and applicable retreat policies.
The replacement guest will receive the original guest's reserved accommodation.
Any outstanding balance remains due according to the original payment schedule.
The original guest remains responsible for outstanding payments unless Magnolia Literary Society expressly releases them from that obligation in writing.
Transfers requested after January 8, 2027, may be considered at Magnolia Literary Society's discretion.
Finding a Replacement Guest
Guests are ultimately responsible for finding an eligible replacement.
As a courtesy, Magnolia Literary Society may assist by sharing the available reservation through its social media channels or other promotional outlets.
However, Magnolia Literary Society cannot guarantee that a replacement guest will be found.
Any private financial arrangements between the original guest and replacement guest are solely their responsibility. Magnolia Literary Society is not responsible for collecting, reimbursing, or resolving disputes concerning those private transactions.
Cancellation by Magnolia Literary Society
If Magnolia Literary Society cancels The Gilded Chapter and does not provide the retreat as booked, guests will receive a full refund of payments made directly to Magnolia Literary Society for the retreat.
Magnolia Literary Society is not responsible for independently booked travel expenses, including airfare or transportation, except where required by applicable law.
