Guest Code of Conduct

Magnolia Literary Society

The Gilded Chapter | Savannah, Georgia | January 29–31, 2027

Our Purpose

This retreat exists to create a warm and welcoming space for readers to slow down, share their love of literature, and connect deeply—both with the stories on the page and with fellow bookish minds.

1. Attendance & Financial Policy

All guest payments and contributions are strictly non-refundable. If a guest is unable to attend for any reason, no refunds, partial refunds, or credits will be issued by Magnolia Literary Society.

Reservation transfers may be permitted in accordance with our separate Cancellation & Reservation Transfer Policy.

2. Sanctuary & Community Etiquette

Age Requirement

All attendees must be at least 21 years of age to join our reading retreat.

Libations & Responsible Consumption

While wine and beverages may be served during discussions and gatherings, guests are expected to practice responsible consumption at all times. Guests are responsible for their own safety and conduct.

An Inclusive Chapter — Zero-Tolerance Policy

Our sanctuary is built on inclusion and safety. We maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy for discrimination, harassment, or exclusion of any kind.

Quiet Hours & Reading Sanctuary

Silence and atmosphere are essential to a great reading environment. Quiet hours must be honored by all guests.

Because there are no designated quiet zones, everyone must actively preserve a peaceful, tranquil space for reading and relaxation in all communal areas.

The Final Chapter — Check-Out

Guests must check out and vacate the premises by 10:00 AM on Sunday, January 31, 2027.

Private Nooks — Bedroom Boundaries

Rest, phone calls, and virtual meetings must be kept strictly within your assigned private bedroom to keep shared spaces dedicated to reading and connection with fellow guests.

Shared Space Care

Guests must clean up after themselves immediately in all shared spaces—including kitchens, cozy nooks, living rooms, and bathrooms—to keep our communal retreat welcoming for everyone.

Guest Acknowledgment

By agreeing to this Code of Conduct, guests acknowledge that they have read and understand the expectations for attending The Gilded Chapter and agree to follow them throughout the retreat.
